Zooming In and Out

 

You can use the Zoom Bar to quickly change the zoom level (2 to 15) of the map view. Zooming in shows a smaller geographic area at greater detail. Zooming out shows a larger geographic area at lesser detail.

Move the mouse along the blue zoom buttons on the Zoom Bar to view the magnitude of each zoom button.

Click the zoom buttons or the + IN and – OUT control buttons to zoom in to or out of the desired geographic area.

The yellow scale box at the bottom of the bar indicates the distance one inch equals on the map in feet or miles.
